Colman Road Papa John's late-night licence overturned
An about turn in the granting of a late night licence – up to 4am for the Papa Johns Pizza place - has occurred when Norwich City Council Environmental Health officers decided that the impact of noise and nuisance on neighbours was unacceptable, even though the late night licence application had been granted by 3 councillors who made up the Licensing sub-committee.
Lib Dem city councillor Judith Lubbock, who had spoken out against the licence on behalf of nearby neighbours, said she was delighted with the turnaround and that it was common sense not to allow such opening hours in an area where nearby residents needed peace and quiet for a good night’s sleep.
