James & the Lib Dems: The genuine alternative to Labour indifference

The election on May 4th will be for the Norwich City Council, which has had zero Conservative councillors for almost 10 years. They cannot win here.

Safe in that knowledge, the Labour Party has been taking you for granted, and has utterly failed to represent you or our area effectively.
Only recently, the council spent £30k implementing parking charges at Eaton Park before any results of the public consultation were known. Then, when the consultation finally completed, they delayed release of the results as long as possible until the day the proposals were to be voted on, at which it was revealed 91% of responses rejected the plan.

Despite the overwhelming NO vote, they then decided to implement the charges anyway, supported and abetted by the Labour candidate in this election. This sham of a consultation was turned into a waste of everyone’s time and of public money if the council was going to run roughshod over public opinion regardless.

Isn’t it time we gave someone else a turn at actually representing our interests?
