New recycling booking system in Norfolk

The Conservative run County Council has decided to introduce a new booking system for the county’s recycling sites.

Liberal Democrats are sceptical that this will improve the customer experience and actually save money. Leader of the Lib Dems on Norfolk County Council, Cllr Brian Watkins said, “We will ask for a review of the new scheme after 6 months of operation to check that the savings and improvements have occurred, whilst there has not been an increase in fly-tipping”.

The scheme is starting on 18th November, and the public will be able to book their 15 minute slot from 11th November, 7 days in advance, and select the date, time and recycling centre. This can be done online at www.norfolk.gov.uk/recyclingbooking or by calling 0344 800 8020. We would like to hear your experiences once the new scheme comes into effect.
