Norwich Lib Dem councillors reject devolution

At a meeting of Norwich City Council this evening, councillors have unanimously voted to reject the devolution proposal for Norfolk and Suffolk.

Commenting, Cllr James Wright said, "What we Liberal Democrats want to see is real devolution, and the scheme on offer does deliver that."

"There are also significant concerns, in light of the vote last week to leave the European Union and subsequent domestic political turmoil, about the government's ability to deliver on the scheme."
